Since my last skin care routine post, many of you have asked about what I do nightly and if there are any night creams I prefer and use. I thought to round up some skin care routine tips for you all and share what my current night cream obsession is and how I developed my skin care routine.
-
Build a routine:
I know this might sound obvious but you’d be surprised as to how many of us don’t have a routine or change up the routine way too often before the product is even settled with our skin to show it’s true results. Build a routine you love and stick to it for at least 3 -6 months and then you can re-evaluate your option.
-
Go in order: CTM
Cleansing – wash your face
Toning – balancing your skin
Moisturizing – hydrating your skin -
Night vs Day
Differentiate between night and day – certain products are best used for the day where your skin is exposed to daylight whereas others are specifically developed for your nightly rest –
My current favorite night cream is by SUNDARI – it’s a perfect blend of organic + natural ingredients and modern science. I love choosing products that are featured at prestigious spas – so SUNDARI is retailed at Four Seasons, Como Shambhala Resorts, Anantara Maldives etc. But you can conveniently get yours from COSTCO!! YAY! I love something so good being available at the tip of my fingers and I don’t have to make an extra stop. -
Skin-Type:
Choose a product according to your skin type – I like to go with All Skin Types, it’s usually the one that sits well with my skin as it is balanced well.
-
Beyond Facial :
When we think of skincare, we automatically think of facial skin care – but what about your most used parts? HANDS! Yes, if you know anything about me, you know I am in love with a good hand oil or cream. Find one that suits your lifestyle, a woman’s age is revealed through her hands so better pamper them early! My current favorite:
-
Gentle Eyes:
The skin under your eyes is so sensitive and soft they need to be handled with care – always use something specifically developed for your oils : I use Sundari’s eye oil (when I use the cream of one brand, I like to stick to most of their collection because they have formulated it well so it can all blend together rather than introducing another brand’s new ingredients).
So I hope these tips help you develop a fabulous skin care that you are most happy and comfortable with.
