Today, I want to share with you how to be a playful mom with super easy (and free) ways.
5 Ways to be a Playful Mom
Being a mom doesn’t have plain – we can have fun with our kids without spending a dime! Here are five ways how:
-
DANCE
Throw a random dance party! I usually do this when I am busy working and the kids seem bored or distracted – so I quickly stop what I am doing and put on some fun music to dance to and we all have a blast. PS: I don’t mind losing the extra calories either! Go and break a sweat!
-
READ
This is my all-time favorite thing to do at least 2-3 times a day, I try to read to the kids together. We three sit in our reclining chair and read and enact what the book says. I can honestly say it is these moments that leave an impression for a lifetime.
-
COLOR
My sister always buys the kids coloring books! I appreciate this so much because as a kid I used to love coloring and now I get to relive my childhood memories with my kids. Also, did you know that color is therapeutic? The next time you feel down or sluggish, grab your kids coloring book and sit with them to color. It helps you relax and keeps your mind off of things that stress you. You will fee revitalized after 10 minutes of coloring with your kids – try it and thank me later!!
-
BUBBLES
Who doesn’t love bubbles? I mean we all do. But blowing bubbles is one form of fun, take it even further by having a family bubble bath. Get in the tub with your babies -bath time doesn’t have to be a chore. Or if you’re kids are already super clean, just blow bubbles in your patio or backyard or while taking a walk.
-
WALKS
Daily adventures are stimulation for your kids. Walk and stop whenever your kids stop when they are curious about the birds and the bees or even plants and ants. Talk to them about nature and God’s creation. I use nature talks to reinforce spirituality in my kids. Make these walks count by having deep conversations with them, listen to them as if they are telling you secrets of the universe. There is always a thing or two that kids can teach you – get inspired by this alone time.
I hope you try at least one of these today – please be sure to let me know how you felt in the comments on my Instagram. I love learning how these posts help you and how you guys apply them in your daily parenting lives.
Happy Parenting!
