Hey mamas! Today’s post is exciting because it is Miraj’s second nursery reveal. Our first nursery reveal was in our Toronto residence while this one is in our Los Angeles residence. Many of you know we go back and forth between our two homes since we are a blend of Canadian-American (the best of both worlds, eh?, Allahamdulilah).
Nursery Reveal with Delta Children
The color palette was chosen by Milad this time around and I just love how it all turned out. We wanted a room that was simple yet functional – it is the room where we spend most of our time in the morning. Miraj wakes up around 7am so him and I are usually hanging out in this room for some quiet play time until shortly after, big sister Surah wakes up. The first thing she does is rush into this room where she expects us to be on the floor – usually giggling and me biting his little toes in admiration. It is here where we make the most memories – I cuddle with both of my babes on this Delta Children glider – it is the perfect shade of blue. I usually read story time here at night and nurse all day or when I just want to spend some facetime with them – I put them both on my lap and we rock away.
His crib and night stand are both from Delta Children – We aimed for a modern breezy feel with delicate details. This crib set was just that – the wood has a beautiful soft color that makes it feel rich and masculine. The texture on the wood is amazing, these photos do not do justice. I wanted something that had an edge so this set was perfect.
Our teepee is from Tiny Land US – I have had a couple of Teepees for the kids now, I have to say this one is my favorite because it is so spacious and tall and the opening is quite wide and the set up is pretty sturdy – I ordered it from their Amazon store (Note: Please try to support small shops as much as you can by leaving them a review at the end of your purchase, it means the world to them!).
For Miraj’s nursery, we are using Nanit – our current favorite baby sleep monitor.
One of my favorite pieces in his play room is his handcrafted wooden play gym from The Wooden Fawn. Miraj doesn’t like lying down if I am not around, so if I have to quickly get something down, I put him down under his play gym and it works like a charm EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was afraid he would get tired of it but for some reason this magical piece keeps him entertained enough for me to complete my tasks.
